R.I.P to easily my favortite British broadcaster of all time.

The Britons on here were lucky to have him, for reals.

RIP Reg - great commentator, used to love his partnership with Jim Watt.

A proper boxing commentator, who knew his stuff. A man who did just not commentate to get them trips to the States.

Boxing, as Reg Gutteridge knew and described, died over 20 years ago, and sadly, with Reg's passing another of the few meaningful and respected links left to that sport has been cut.....

R.I.P old lad. A terrific commentator who knew what commentating actually meant, knowing when to speak, what to say and how to say it. He'll be much missed.

I suppose we're going to have to put up with Smith, Nelson and McKenzie etc now. Oh the joy of it.

I am very sorry to hear this news, Reg was a very nice man, totally without ego ,and very knowledgeable on his boxing.Years ago I wrote him a short note ,in response to an article he had in the Boxing News ,he replied with a very nice letter.
.Later on I had the privilege of sitting next to him at a couple of boxing cards,he was open and friendly a real gentle man.He will be sadly missed. RIP REG.

Although he was obviously very knowledgeable about boxing, I think that outlines what a great person he was also. RIP Reg.
