Ahead of the GGG Canelo 2, have a look back at one of the greatest rematches in modern boxing.

The promotion, the scale, the production, everything was on another level. From Rubix cubes to Double Decker busses, every handshake every face off was intense. This is how you build a rematch.

Savage overhand right. GGG would have ate that and nodded his head in appreciation.

So many highlights from the fight and build-up. The savage right hand that ended it, The I'm-the-man-here shove at the Wembley photo op, the push-and-pull handshake and the befuddled look on Groves' face when Froch explained the two meanings of the word 'employed'.

Everything for a reason, George. And the reason this time was to teach you some humility....

I have fond memories of the build up to that fight and the fight itself. Fight was just a massive here in the UK, everyone was talking about it. Me and a load of mates had a meal and then drinks at a casino and watched the fight on a big screen in the casino. Got absolutely wasted after it, good times.

Badass fight! Just an overall great event. That big right hand was like a huge f you to all the people who thought Groves would have won the first fight if it hadn't been stopped.

prime George learnt something about being humble after that boxing lesson from retiring Froch.

However he was still hilariously adamant that he was champion the day after...again.

poor ol' george grinning whilst his psychological "tricks" had zero effect on the outcome. And trying to "pull" froch over... and getting yanked over silly himself. "what yer doing?"

Since they are both proven elite now, its arguably now the biggest SMW fight on British soil ever, eclipsing all the 90s WBO British triumvirates and what followed, even if you figure in the Irish with the gruelling elite schedules that Steve Collins battled through.

Great events like this should be remembered. It's a crying shame that no one will talk about that night, the location or how many attended, but it's like they took a bow of silence.

If only one man was brave enough to to defy this cloak of secrecy. Just one man...
