he was better than Ruiz but a bit behind on the scorecards because of the points taken for low blows.

The quiet man was no slouch and is very underrated . . . I had him up on my card if it were not for the low blows:verysad

I rewatched the fight today and I just don't know why he kept going to the body after 2 points were taken for low blows.he should have been punching to the head...

You know maybe i was anticipating something special so was dissapointed maybe if i watched it live it would be diffrent! What i saw was very boring fight with ruiz winning...

any way it seemed Johnson could just sit down on punches and beat ruiz but insted he danced around and trowed light jabs

    i was dissapointed!

He was a shell of himself by then. A fat, sad shell of himself.

Didn't he sign a deal with a promoter or TV station or something - and then essentially cashed the cheque and just stopped trying?

I can't really remember. But I'm sure he made some mo ey and then stopped putting the effort in.

    I never said I was disappointed with him . . . I just had him winning (minus the low blows . . . he pulled a Golata:bbb)

He was doing good work to the body and his punches ventured low . . . probably because he was tired and being undisciplined. It does not excuse him going back to the body, his corner should have smacked him around after the warning.
