Love this guy, Scott is toast

Not to sure about Cruz though, he swings wildly with power behind almost everything, and I can see him missing the target alot wih Cruz's superior footwork and reach knowledge. He'll also waste alot of energy trying to take and hold Dominic down to work the advantage he has in the submission game. Would be interesting to see if his stamina holds up during his next few fights

Nova Uniao is rapidly becoming the chute Boxe for the lighter weights though.

I can agree with that, always fun to watch guys from that camp. Fluid and explosive on the feet and the ground. These boys dont come to win a decision

Barao/Jorgenson is easily my number two most anticipated fight on the card. Should be fireworks.

Greg jackson is a motivator in the corner but he doesnt give good advise as to what adjustments to make during the fight.

Yes. Barao likes to walk forward plant his feet and widen his stance and bang. Hard to see him dealing with Cruz's lateral move and punch style unless he catches him flat footed or up against the cage

He does have vicious low/body kicks, maybe thats the way to go gameplan wise

Faber was able to catch Cruz a few times by just ignoring all of the movement, standing his ground, and waiting for the right moment. As long as Barao doesn't simply fight at Cruz' pace, he may be able to catch him.

Yes, his hand speed and combo's are on a different level to Uriah, so maybe he can follow up on a shot that does land. And as I stated his kicks will slow Dominic down later in the fight. Id like to find out how Barao fights at pace for 15 minutes +, but I think he'd find it hard to keep up with Cruz in the early goings.

Looking forward to this potential title defence as much as Diaz v GSP or JJ v Hendo. Shame the little guys dont get as much love on this board outside of Aldo

Barao is a beast and I think he'll beat Jorgensen. He'll have trouble with Cruz though. Pickett's style played right into his hands - stand and bang in the pocket. Cruz is totally different and his evasiveness and wrestling are hard to figure out.

Aye, I bet he's pissed he didn't get that split decision in his debut now. I believe 28-0 (1 NC) would be the longest a fighter has ever gone undefeated in MMA?

Expecting an exciting fight with Jorgensen, and then Cruz.

Hope he isn't looking past Jorgensen, Scotty is an excellent spoiler of BJJ guys, really heavy on top and hard to get up or sweep.

Cruz beats Barao imo, too elusive.
