It's a shame that he earns so little for a world title fight, especially when it's his biggest night that he has probably been working towards all his life. Wayne Rooney could earn that in a couple of days.

I think the whole bin man working class hero thing is just a bad attempt by Maloney to create him into the next Ricky Hatton. I doubt he works on the bins as much as he makes out. If he does he's an idiot.

I also read it was £80,000, although I doubt he will even see half of that.

It was a voluntary defence away from home. Munroe would have been hoping to make the money after winning the title.

Wayne Rooney earns more in a couple of days than a lot of people earn in a year. C'est la vie.....

On the bins he'll have decent hours to train and a good pension after he's finished. Being the Euro super Bantam champ isn't going to set Munroe (who's 30 already!!!) up for life.

    Theres no ulterior motive.

Its very hard to make any real money in the fight game unless you are a gold medal winner Degale Harrison Khan etc

The average fighter needs to win a world title and then put a few defences together, even then it probably depends on your drawing power as to how much you earn and i doubt it would set you for life most likely a couple of hundred grand.

Here is a question if Burns defends his title 5 times how much do you think he will make?

  15. He's a top pro and I wish him every success.
