At one point I thought that Cotto would blast Hatton, but after tonight I think im leaning more towards hatton winning that fight...I think that Hatton would actaully have a handspeed edge. Hatton I think is tougher then Cotto. Cotto may have a slight edge in power but Im not really sure about that. Cotto is a better all around fighter, but we saw what pressure is like for him. Maggs touched on being hurt worse in his fight with Cotto BUT he was in that fight, and was winning alot of rounds and not for the knockdown that would have been a very close fight as it was I think that Cotto won 7-5. I dont think that Maggs won a round tonight and was getting hammered mostly to the body while Cotto was doing alot of headhunting...Im at the point now where I think that hatton vs cotto may be the best fight out there to be made..Stay tuned I may change my mind again:good

    Agree with J-M-P
Although I don't think Cotto batter Hatton but would beat him at 147.

    Hatton would beat cotto,
Hell, Look what margarito did to cotto, That's putting pressure on cotto, And hatton puts on just as much pressure but punches harder and faster.
    UD for hatton.

I cant see a Hatton vs Cotto ever happening. Cotto wont go down to 140 & Hatton wont go to 147. If they do fight, at whatever weight, the man who has to move to a different weight class will lose & the winner will be criticized for the win because of the fact that the other man had to move to a different weight class.

Cotto isn't as good as most think he is. He'd do Hatton at 147, for sure but at 140 it is anyones' fight.

Thats always been my take on it. At 147 Cotto is probably too big, but at 140 Hatton fights at a pace that Cottos never liked and would find hard to stay with.

So what did you think of Hatton's performance tonight?? You got it badly wrong, of course. Maybe you shouldn't be influenced by the likes of Pauliemayweathe?

At 140 Hatton would have won, 147 Cotto is a lot stronger and Ricky won't be able to muscle this version of Cotto.

Hatton did say tonight that he is willing to go up in weight because he believes nobody can beat him at 140 and that a real champion takes on tougher challenges; that was his response to a fight against the Dela Hoya/Pac winner. If he is indeed willing to move up then maybe a Hatton/Cotto fight is possible but it would also be a bad idea fot him cause Cotto would bury him.

Damm still people thinking about a 140lbs Cotto is a welter he can't fight at jr welter, and cotto brutalizes Hatton at welter, i hope they fight just to see that owning.
