Retrospective - British Boxing History

    The regular article at news.boxrec.com

    This is a weekly thing that looks back on the history of British boxing. So far it has been restricted to great Boxing matches. But we are looking to expand it to include other aspects of history for example a bio of a fighter, effects of soemthing on British boxing etc....


    Is there anything you guys want covered in it. Either post here or email

    I think that it is too often forgotten that British boxing has a 300 year+ history.

    For 200 of those years Britain and not America was the premiere boxing nation.

    I think that you would have to give generous coverage to the bareknuckle era.

    The sticky entitled "bareknuckle boxing resources" provided a huge range of sources, when we had it.

    The best poster for providing information about this period is probably cross trainer, and he is generaly willing to help.
