How much of a chancedo you give Ryan in this one? Marg may be a level above him but im not sure. Rhodes is a classy boxer and could outbox him for a points win. But Marg is relentless and could catch up with him at some point. I would have to say Margarito would win by late stoppage but i give Ryan a chance and would love for him to get the fight and win and get on the world stage.

Rhodes could face some problems throughout the bout, but personally I would favour him to outbox Margarito and get a clear points decision. Margarito is not the fighter he once was and his power @ 154 is not significant.

No way, the timing would be perfect for Rhodes, as long as he is careful i would not be suprised to see him pull out a wide points victory, maybe flooring Margarito along the way.

When you look at Margaritos last fight he really did not look like the Margarito that fought Cotto, he has been in lots of wars, taken lots of shots, taken a one sided beatdown at the hands of Suger Shane and all the controversy around the loaded gloves MUST have affected him mentally somehow, no matter how comfortably he seemed to take the whole thing.

Margarito seems to be slower than he already was, and he can no longer keep the constant pressure that made him so effective before, Rhodes is fast, he can cope with pressure, and although Messi was no world beater, Rhodes really did just dominate him. Rhodes is a stylistic nightmare for Margarito.

    Rhodes beats Marg. UD 12

I consider it about 70/30 in favour of Margo. I havn't watched Margo's recent fight so that could swing me significantly one way or the other. If it gets made I'll watch it.

I think that you are being a tad generous to Ryan here, but he does have a chance. I'm a Rhodes fanatic and whether its made on the moon, Vegas or wherever, there is no way that i'd miss that one

It appeared to me last night when Rhodes mentioned Margacheato that Rhodes wants that fight.

Beating him should 100% gurantee Rhodes at a shot at the vacant WBC title or a shot at the winner of Spinks-Bundrage for the IBF title.

On the face of it Ryan has a chance against margarito , the war against Cotto and the beating against Mosley plus a years inactivity should mean thats he's not the fighter he was and there could be a chance of Rhodes outboxing him. Then again i also thought Mitchell could beat Katsidis and Hatton would test manny the gap between good british/european fighter and proper world class level is huge and guys who look vulnerable against elite fighters suddenly look superhuman when faced with british fighters

Rhodes gets eaten up. The gap between European and World level is the difference between the Premiership and the first division.

    i'd make margo favourite.

but he don't like left handers much.

and rhodes could pick him off a bit.

but margo brings it good and should outscore ryan. :bbb

On recent form I'd give Rhodes a reasonable chance at pulling out a points win. 60 / 40 Margo. I love Rhodes style. He's one of my favourite fighters. If this comes off and the odds are good I'll definitelly have some money on Ryan.

Just go watch the Cotto fight again & you'll see whats waiting for Rhodes, he'll get hunted down & smashed up, sooner/later it don't matter as this is how it will end!
