bruns never was relevant on the world scene and he certainly isn't now. the best he was, without wassen bull and fakery, was a fair contender. shame the very people who stand by him now are the ones he has cheated for years with wassens lies.
The hammer took it out of him. The Mighty Mitchell was on coke and booze when he fought burns and still done damage, now hes on his way to a title. :deal
OK then, I'll revise. Ricky is shot. He doesn't look like he wants to mix it at all since he had his jaw broken against Beltran. I doubt his desire as he doesn't look interested at all. He'll end up taking an absolute hammering if he's not careful. He should chuck it. Also, your opinion on my opinion is spazmodic.
I disagree - I think the desire is still there. Whether it was the right or wrong move to leave Billy for Sims, at the end of the day he felt for the sake of his career he needed to make certain changes and freshen things up to make another go of it. Why move down south and make that sort of change if you didn't have the proper desire? Also, when he lost to Zlaticanin he was absolutely heart broken by all accounts. The desire is still there, I just think it's more of a case that he's unable to pull the trigger when he's under the bright lights. What I mean by that is, every man and his dog has spoken about how great Burns looks in camp, how well he handles his sparring partners etc but in his recent performances on fight night he hasn't been able to bring across how he's been in the gym into fights. I mentioned to Billy on here before, the one thing I noticed with Burns which came into effect after the Mitchell fight when he fought Jose Gonzalez - who I think is a very good fighter btw - is that his once top notch jab was all of a sudden either falling short or he was over reaching. In every fight since, his jab and the same can be said about his right hand, is falling short or he's over reaching. It's as if the timing isn't there anymore. That's my take on it anyway. But I've met Burns on two occasions and what a truly nice fella, I'd love to see him bounce back.
Has anyone ever given him an absolute hammering? Ur talking ****e mate, questioning his desire also shows you know heehaw. A agree with Furey his jab has went downhill a thought that along with his engine was his biggest asset
think his biggest problems in his mind, as others said after the beltran jaw break. froch openly admitted to using a sports physiologist, which probably would have been seen as a sign of weakness 5/10 years ago, maybe ricky should speak to one of these, to get his mind right, and as said perform on fight night as he does in training / sparring.
Ricky should rematch Zlatican if he must fight and prove it was a 'fluke' if he feels that's the case.
Yeah he did & I would doubt very much matchroom's expensive legal team would make such massive mistake. I reckon they advised fast car that there was an element of risk on Ricky's side that he could lose the case but Eddie brushed it off as he was desperate for a World Champion and to hurt FW stable at the same time so it was worth the gamble on his side. Now that Burns has been battered in the ring and in court he's worthless to matchroom.
