i was going to post this in the general forum but i dont think our American counterparts 'got' Ricky as much as we did. Basically, what was ricky Hatton's best win and performance? Many on the general forum discard Hatton's win over Kostya Tszyu, claiming his tactics were too rough and he was fighting an ageing fighter. What do you reckon. Was that his best win, or was it against someone else. Ive gone with Tszyu. I no he was getting on, but ricky was the heavy underdog in the fight and showed true grit and determination to make him quit on his stall
I agree he was the biggest name Hatton beat, but does that mean it was his best win? I mean the Paulie performance was pretty good, and it was against someone who was in their prime, rather than an ageing warrior.
You missed out Thaxton, that could have de-railed everything if that had of gone wrong...:yep Very fortunate it was not stopped...:yep Other than that it was Tsyzu, he reached his summit that night for me...:yep
Dam it! how the **** did i miss that! I agree it was very fortunate. The fight should have been stopped for me,that cut was horrendous
No worries, that what these forums are for...:good I think another great win for Hatton was against Eamon Magee...:yep His first trip to the canvas in the paid ranks...:yep
Or it was good performance under difficult conditions.....the fact Hatton made it though will no ill effects probably vindicates the refs decision.
Ooh yeah of course. In hindsight its a brilliant call. But i doubt Ricky could see at all out of that eye. And if he would have been seriously injured (due to bad vision) after the cut opened up, the ref would have been slated for it for years
And the Zoo fight, the Collazo fight, the....I don;t think the ****er had one honest win after 2003atsch He won on clear points decision and the eye was never a problem again. Thats got to mean the ref was right to let the fight continue!!
