How will this partnership turn out? Does everyone think Ricky will actually come out looking like a diferent fighter? Or will he use the same tactics but just have a few slick moves to add on to his fight plan?

I think if Ricky comes in to the fight learning how to throw a jab then it will be for the better.

Ricky used to be able to box well earlier in his career , i expect Mayweather will focus on bringing back what skill he had.

hatton is 29, still has time to improve. I think this was a good move, he should have dumped the preacher earlier

If Ricky KO's Paulie I just see now how much flak the preacher will take. Senior will get a ton of credit for the victory if Ricky doens't take much punishment

Well this bond will work if mayweather sr. learns how to mix his teachings with hatton style, hatton in his early day was capable of outboxing guys and had a good jab, If mayweather can bring back that jab and polish that defense (if there is one at all) together with hattons agression and workrate, he will become a top p4p fighter again

had this partnership happened 5 years ago then who knows "the skies the limit" but rickys nearly done with boxing and has flown under the graham banner/bag too long, leopard n spots n all that!!

rickys a fighter not a boxer if may sr tweaks a few buttons and works on hattons strengths rather than trying to impose a style on him then it could be interesting.

I think there is plenty to work with between them.

Hatton has a good array of punches, especially the left hook and straight right which is hard to telegraph.

He uses the jab as a mere range finder to fire off the hooks and straights rather than as a way to open an opponent up. This works against all but the very best fighters, such as Floyd.

Floyd sr is a world class trainer who could teach Hatton a few defensive moves. Billy Graham is a world class conditioner and offensive coach, but not an all round boxing trainer. He gets the fighters very fit and teaches them to be aggressive - with the aim of destroying an opponent whilst not worrying about taking the odd shot on the way.

You will probably see Ricky return to the style which he used in the Ben Tackie fight - which was probably his best pure boxing display, in which he got his punches off at will yet avoided taking too much punishment.
