Not boxers possessing Ali or Ray Leonard speed or Marciano strength. Fighters without great natural ability but they know how to outfight and outthink their opponents. The ability to adapt, always a step ahead, sets up traps, not letting opponents plant their feet to land hard shots, etc...

Lee Oma was about the most physically unimpressive title challenger I ever saw, but he was crafty and smart. Far from textbook, he just did his own thing. Perhaps the spoiling Georgie Abrams belongs here as well. Chuck Davey too, he looked like the wind could blow him over at any moment as Addie put it, but he beat some good opponents.
Wow, Lee Oma ,a name from the past..I saw Lee Oma many times at MSG. A handsome, out of shape heavyweight who boxed, somewhat like Jersey Joe Walcott..He would walk away sideways from his opponent, like Jersey Joe, then spring into action...I saw him with Mauriello, Baksi etc..the crowd loved his antics...He is the bartender, in the picture On The Waterfront, starring Marlon Brando..
