Any of you giving Murray a chance? Although I am a Murray fan, I just think Rios has too much for him. They have similar strengths to their game, but Rios betters him in each. Looking forward to this card nonetheless.
Rios all day. What's worrying for Murray is that Mitchell wouldn't be considered a huge puncher at LW and he hurt John badly. Frightning really what Rios did to Antillon who i always thought would be able take a shot from the strongest at LW. I think he will be too big and too powerful for Murray come fight night.
I feel Rios is a better version of Murray ... can i see an upset mind ? ...Yes .. One fight i would like to see is Mitchell v Rios - Mitchell all day long for me ...
Murray has nothing to lose in my opinion, coming off a defeat with few people are giving him a chance and there is nothing more dangerous than a man with nothing to lose. but I see Rios winning around the middle rounds but this could be a real up and downer, Rios is easy to hit and can be hurt so you have to give Murray a chance even if it's a slim one.
:good The ONLY way this happens is if Murray is taking this fight as seriously as it is. He needs to have stepped up an awful lot an improved his movement. All of which might be too much of an ask in the short amount of time since Mitchell. Mitchell could have been the one fighting if he wasn't driving around with a ****ing knife in his posession. Apparently there were Visa troubles even before that, hence why he isn't fighting Rios.
Rios is going to absolutely savage Murray. Murray can walk in strait lines against non punchers like Mcallister and Mitchell (to an extent) but Rios will just beat him to a pulp in every department. I like John Murray but i honestly believe this fight will be the end of him. After the Mitchell fight he should have pressed for a rematch.Taking this fight is not a big ask for John its impossible for him to win. Rios is too fast, big, skilled in every department for Murray. Murray's come forward style will just end up getting him caught with quick combinations. If John wants to fight Rios on the inside and go to the body im sure Rios wont mind too much!! Rios will completely dominate him from start to finish and will KO him. I will take a lifetime ban on this one!!!
This will definitely be getting bumped if JM does the unexpected. I agree with you though, it looks highly unlikely. I've seen John fight a few times and also met him before the Kudryavstev fight. He's a top lad and watching him fight always resulted in a good night and good atmosphere. Talking to fellow Murray fans though always ended the same - about how if he stepped up it would be too much for him (for example the Khan shouts a couple of years ago).
Funny thing with Rios is before he won the title i remember him looking shite on a Pac undercard. In saying that Murray's made to order and cannot see how Joe's gonna set up a plan that gives him a chance. Rios seems to be really enjoying being world champion and fighting a high level.
