Just heard Willie 'The Worm' Monroe passed away. I know Phillyfan (whom we haven't heard from in awhile) knew him. Willie was so stylish and really deserved a title shot. RIP.

RIP to the Worm, a true fighting Philly middleweight who deserves to be remembered. Beat Cyclone Hart, took 1 of 3 from MMH and also fought Boogaloo Watts and other top guys.

RIP. Very good stylist at his best during a tough, hard-fought era. Sad news.

Really really nice guy. Had the pleasure of talking to him a few times. Any reason for cause of death?

    RIP

Anyone who can go the distance with Hagler was a special fighter, one who could beat him though...

RIP to a fine fighter; IMO, the only guy to clearly beat Hagler as a pro.

Sorry to hear the Worm has turned. A superb talent, who did not quite make the most of his ability, but on his day was exceptional.

One of the only fighters to beat a young Marvin Hagler. He is missed big time in my book.
