I think Postol should switch to a trainer who has him use his height and reach better, and tightens up his defense.

I kinda agree. I wonder how his reputation would be if he never had Pac walk through the doors

Roach used to be cool because he was real about the fight game and his fighters felt that and responded in kind. The majority of people liked him and when Pac came aboard it was all good. He got the big head with Pac and I actually think that he sold Pac out in his rise up to the Cotto fight. I think that he knew and allowed Pac to be given peds. Pac didn't have a clue because he was getting more money than he ever dreamed of and he trusted the people who handled him without fault. Roach proved to be quite average in the training department. He has just been lucky in attracting great talent and Pac is the reason for that.

I think there's a lot of truth to this.

Freddie Roach I believe is a good trainer, but he's not anywhere close to belonging in the class of Eddie Futch, Cus D'Amato, Nacho Beristain, Emmaneul Steward, etc.......

Whats the best fighter Roach ever trained for any lenghth of time?

Really its only Manny Pacquiao and James Toney, who were already made and World Champions before Roach started working with them.

A trainer like Ignacio Beristain built is fighters from the ground up.
Starting with them before becoming world champions and making them Champions.
Freddie Roach imo cant hold a candle to Ignacio Beristain who truly knows how to mold fighters.

Completely agree time for him to maybe hang it up at this point his just a celebrity trainer, he's lost motivation once him and pac dominated and these past few years most of his best fighters have lost there biggest match up. Postol v Crawford, may vs pac, cotto vs Canelo.

So you agree he is the best in the last decade , but you don't agree he is great ? for you great are 3 names over 100 years of boxing ? i don't understand your post at all , if you say he is overrated because <insert several active trainers that are better > , then you can claim it , but if you need to go back to find a list of 3 names then you are my friend are a hater.
