This felt like Sturm vs. De La Hoya Part 2.

The second they said 3x 114-113 I knew they robbed the champion.

Good fight, lived up to the hype. I had it 7-5 for Kovalev and with the kd I'd have it 115-112.

I don't have a problem with Ward winning since there were a number of really close rounds. You'd have to give Ward almost all of those close rounds though to get the victory.

I'd like to see a rematch but I think Ward wins that. I don't think Kovalev will be able to jump out to such a big early lead 2 fights in a row.

I'm not a fan of Kellerman and I usually don't pay much attention to him. I thought he was pretty biased tonight for Ward and felt like he was a cheerleader out there. Jones wasn't much better and it seemed like Lampley was going out of his way to prop up Kovalev to add some counter balance.

This was a clear case of an American fighter getting the benefit from American judges, especially in VEGAS.

Hope this opens the eyes for some and realizes how corrupt this sport is. How do you think Floyd is undefeated?

I'm not american, and just wanted to see good fight... which tbh i didn't really expect.
but i definately think ward deserved the win.... just. No way Kovalev can say he got robbed, don't know why wankers in the crowd were chearing for kovalev. What did Kovalev actually land? **** HBO biased as fuyck copmmentary. Pauli Mallignaggi on sky broadcast called it fair and his comments that Ward showed a little bit more 'dog' in the exchanges sums it up

That was the same score I had. Ward couldn't win unless every close round got scored for him because of how long it took him to adjust, and he'd started too late to catch him in a 12 rounder.

Robbery. worse than a robbery. WWE is starting to look really good in a lot of people's eyes tonight. At least, ALMOST everyone knows it is not for real.

Well, your post contradicts with itself, unless you are just randomly asking a question and not questioning that Kovalev was robbed.

Of course, a knockdown alone doesn't win the fight. However, winning more rounds than the opponent does, and that is exactly what Kovalev done (and plus he scored a KD on the top of that).

And it is really pointless even discussing about it, since I am perfectly aware of the motive behind justifying the result.

I felt Kellerman and Jones were going out of their way to make the point the rounds were closer than how Lamps and Lederman were viewing it. Jones even said he thought Kovalev won.

I suggest you people watch the fight in slow motion. It might change your perception of who won the fight!! Lol

I usually don't use the word "robbery" when the scorecards should be close - but I could make an exception for this fight. You have to go out of your way to give Ward more than 6 rounds. I just can't justify it.

I call it a hometown decision, I reserve the word "robbery" for complete rubbish such as Hooker - Perez. That was DISGRACEFUL!

To take the belt off the champion you have to TAKE them. Close rounds go to the champ. Close rounds also go to the agressor.

    Robbery
