The same way Hagler did? Hagler is light years better than Fullmer hit harder, and maybe better chin and equally strong and it took him 10 hard rds. That fight took alot out of Roldan note the Hearns and Nunn stoppages after, the pre Hagler Roldan was a wrecking machine so lets say pre Hagler Roldan.
i don't know if Fullmer can take 10 punishing rounds of Roldan's murderous punching and survive. after all, Gene was taken out by one shot by Robinson The uppercut Roldan hit Fletcher with wouldve most likely caused Gene a massive concussion and plus, Roldan's head movement shows he had the better defense. Roldan also had the better trainer in his corner (only Hagler could tame this beast) Edge has to go to Roldan (Pre Hagler)
Completely agree. :thumbsup Roldan was tough, strong, and fierce. Wouldn't be a short easy fight for anyone in his prime.
Fullmer was a much better fighter than Roldan..better on ability...better h2h,...Gene wins by a stoppage within 8 rounds.
I don't buy it either. Gene was a crude brawler and that's it. Nobody even talks about him but when the time comes to pit him against one of Hagler's opponents, he instantly becomes a fighter of superior quality
