An incredible right hand and one punch stoppage of the iron chinned Viruet. Reminds me a bit of the Jackson delivery vs Graham.

And while we are going, how about this ATG left uppercut from peak Saad on Mwale!!!

And here's KT's response to a dangerous cut with Fenech calling it well

Rosario also knocked out the iron chinned Bramble, and hurt Camacho worse than ANYBODY did. Rosario was a lightweight with welterweight power.

IMO he's the hardest punching lightweight in history.

Here's the reading of and reaction to the Holmes - Witherspoon decision.

ROsario was an excellent boxer puncher in his early days.By the time of the Ramirez fights he slowly started to abandon his skills.

I love the fight between Rosario and Ed Viruet.. It in the old performing arts theatre in the Aladdin Hotel in Vegas.. it is still there today but its been a while since they held fights there.. Edwin Viruet was Heavyweight contender Alex Stewarts longtime trainer and very knowledgable boxing guru...

100% agree. Rosario was considered one of the best counterpunchers in boxing even at a very young age, but later when he was supposed to be the second coming of Duran he was actually one dimensional comparative to what he'd been on the up and up.

In ways he got worse and actually went backward as he forged ahead. Gomez too in his early days was a boxer/puncher of the highest order, but he got far more out of himself than Rosario did and had a lot more success behind him before starting to abandon his roots.

The Viruet fight is one of the best examples there is of a nearly indestructable chin being shattered.

Not to stray off the path of course but how good was Viruet?

I've only seen the two fights with Duran and this massive KO by Rosario.

How good was he in his prime?
