I picked Tito to win by KO and I was wrong big time.

I didn't realise how bad the weight would be for him. Roy ain't a hard puncher but he was eating Tito apart.

Still, Roy wouldn't be able to beat either Hopkins or Calzaghe, who would both hit much harder than tito at LHW, and both who haven't been inactive for 2 years.

    Hopkins UD Roy
I could see Calzaghe knocking out Roy. If Johnson can, so can Joe.

Not in this day and age.
Calzaghe would have wiped the floor with them pair tonight.

Roy had no foot movement at all tonight. He walked around the ring the whole fight. And now that his reflexes are gone, his only defense is to cover up in that peek a boo stance. His original style relyed so much on his reflexes for defense, so he'll never be a third as good as he used to be.

It's time to lay them up for good roy.

If he can get the winner of Hopkins vs Calzaghe next then RJJ shouldn't retire. One last big fight hopefully against Calzaghe and after that fight retire.

When you look at tonight's fight don't believe what your eyes are telling you. That's not two senior citizens cleaning the ring for the main event That's Mr.Jones & Mr.Trinidad, who were once considered great champions. Back in the day they were Giants of the Ring, and in their time each seemed unbeatable, two future Legends of Boxing. They dominated their weight classes while sportscasters & fans debated their P4P & G.O.A.T. status, waiting for the big pay-per-view showdown. It never happened.
Tito was awesome; a lethal puncher with 32 KO's while winning his first 40 bouts. Tito never ducked opponents, he took on the top challengers; but in those 40 fights he was never hurt, was never cut & - except against De La Hoya - Trinidad was never in a close fight.
Roy Jones had 49 wins, 38 KO's (& a foolish DQ). RJJ was not just the light-heavyweight champ, he was a freakin circus! Roy liked telling the world that he was impossible to hit,too fast, too good, couldn't be beat. His attitude pissed off some people but he was right, no light-heavy was in his class. Of course he cleaned out the division - no one could hit him, right? His title fights were one-sided, predictable & dull. Without decent boxing competition he tried to entertain fans by becoming a rap artist-actually put out videos about being too good & too fast. I guess y'all must forgot. RJJ tried give the fans a show by exhausting himself in a full court basketball game just before a title bout. Another bad idea. He was just too damn good.
BUT,when he stepped up & became the first light-heavy to take the heavy-weight champ's belt, it seemed the fight world once again appreciated RJJ's awesome talents. We'll musta forgot.
Most boxers slow down with age, some lose it suddenly. The brilliant ring careers of TitoTrinidad & Roy Jones,jr ended identically, and with all the sudden violence of a plane crash. Seven years ago Tito stepped into the ring and was carried out after a savage beating. A few years later Roy was KO'd by one head shot. He went down like a dead man. He got KO'd again in his next fight. I'm afraid neither man will ever be the same again. They seem much older. Since the KO's Roy & Tito have 2 wins, 2 losses each.
I don't know why they Jr didn't agree to that mega fight seven years ago. It might have been a great one. And I sure as hell don't know why those two gentlemen are fighting tonight.

Put away the crack pipe and get to bed, son.

You'll see things clearer in the morning.

Jones don't think he's better than Hopkins, in he'd been avoiding him and all of Hopkins efforts for years.

Does J0ones call out Hopkins now that he's "Back" No, a Resounding NO.

Hell Jones don't even call out Erdi.

He's held back in every fight since the first Tarver fight, Jones is toast against any legit top contenders 168 lbs and up!

I was looking at how both Trinidad and Jones used their legs trhoughout the fight, and until the last 3 rounds where Trinidad gassed, Trinidad was actually outmanuevering Jones, and it was'nt because Trinidad has great footwork, far from it.....its that Jones legs are completely shot.....he cant get them to consistently go and do what he wants them too.
    Roy Jones is shot!
Calzaghe would pummel him, and laugh afterwards!

Of course its his choice, but we also haven't seen Hopkins get KO'd or seriously hurt.
