Yes, specially after what happened to him in the first fight.

I'm getting Castillo stopping Herrera by the looks of it. Anyone seen that?

Hmmmm; I was unaware of that one. I've seen the one where Herrera edges Castillo over 12.

Awesome performance, obviously most people here have seen it. Olivares boxes nicely in the first round, surprising if all you know about him is his crazy 49 ko's. When he hurt Rose in the last 4 rounds he went into beastmode. Often throwing 2, 3 and 4 left hooks and digging to the body. Rose caught him several times, but Olivares seemed pretty slick defensivley but seemed to mostly rely on his momentum to stop his Rose's shots. If Rose was a number 1 bantamweight and a excellent fighter, which woulden't surprise me considering his flashes at times, then that is one of the best title winning performances I've ever seen.

The fact that this thread is spanning several pages is a testment to how much people liked Olivares. I love fighters like him, Arguello, Chavez Sr and Duran etc who had many fights against top flight competition. These masses of fights against top 10 guys throughout divisions is a good way for fans who know little about the smaller divisions to learn lots about the perenial contenders and best of these divisions. I recognise most of the names mentioned but know little about them and its great to see a fluid discussion about these guys.

Let's hope that's what it definitely is then lads. Both guys coming up, competing the Mexican Bantamweight title.

Doesn't get any more real than that!

Watched the first Chacon bout today, along with Hafey, Sakurai and U Harada.

Damn Olivares was great, though I knew it anyway.

The short overhand right that dropped Chacon is the best I've ever seen on film.
