I just saw this on the front page. YES: this would be a great fight. The question is, could Peter improve on Tua's 19 second mark win? :thumbsup

Ruiz would get owned - Peter doesnt look like a guy who would enjoy repeated hugs from another man :D

I dont know about Peter improving on Tua's 19 second mark but I do see him destroying Ruiz in under 6 rounds, both fighters are known to make sloppy fights with Peter throwing punches from everywhere and Ruiz clinching every chance he gets I do see fouls coming into play and stoney getting ejected or speared again. Ruiz adopted the style he has today after the fight he had with Tua, Ruiz is not my first choice for Peter but bring him on.

How can Ruiz possibly be in good shape for this? Was he in training for a fight?

    Nope.

It's more like "I can't earn a title shot, no-one wants to see me have a title shot...I'll just try flinging some mud around and see if I can **** off a champion into fighting me!"

To which I can only say - **** right off, Jawny.

Call me crazy, but I believe Ruiz's jab & grab style may give Peter fits.

Ruiz sort of redeemed himself in the Chagaev fight to me, he fought pretty "normal" there with quite a lot of infighting. Only in the later rounds when he got tired he held a bit more. But i think Peter vs Ruiz could be interesting if Ruiz keeps his "new" style.
