I must admit, I am kind a of happy at the same time. He used to look so smashed up after every fight, plus theirs the head injury he suffered I found very concerning.

I wish him a happy retirement. Hopefully he made enough cash to secure his future.

    What the!????

all the best for the future Ryan

I seem to remember Nicky cook retiring due to back injury, not much you can do about that.

it looked like booth with Burnett and kelly had a fun club so that’s good

Ah that's such a shame. He worked so hard and had bags of talent and gets a freak back injury. Crying shame.

What a shame. Very talented boxer. Achieved a lot already and it's sheer bad luck for him that he won't get to go on and achieve more. Wish him all the best in whatever he goes on to do next.

Underrated dude he was a stand out amateur
He was always expected to win a world title
To win two in that amount of time was amazing
Casuals maybe to them in the know it was a given
    He wanted it badly

Absolutely gutted for him, I really thought he was going to have a great career, actually he had a great career, sadly cut short. He retires undefeated in my eyes, that wasn't a loss for him and it certainly wasn't a win for Doniare.

I'm gutted for him as being a fighter was his only wish. A very possessed and talented fighter. Burnett has achieved what most of us could only dream.

I have said in the past he was a fighter I was always concerned about, regarding his head troubles as a youngster. I'm glad Ryan has retired with his health in tact. I wish him all the best in his future and hope he finds peace after boxing.

I've got disc problems and can't do any running/high intensity stuff anymore as it really triggers pain so I fully understand what Burnett is going through, it's no fun and I knew as soon as he did it his career was over. Hope he can find a career training fighters, where he's not having to put his body through the ringer.
