Same here, and I concur with most of what you said and good write up lep, it left me completely gutted and I still am quite frankly. That being said he too goddamned hard headed and stubborn for his own good, but in some ways I bizarrely view them as admirable qualities, not necessarily good for your long term health or making friends, but he's guided by his heart more than most fighters, and the same qualities that led to is downfall, are also the main thing that contributed to his success, so its a Catch-22.
I think there's something to arrogance and lacking heart going together. Or maybe it just sounds good.

It takes a special breed to be a fighter. Arrogance is a trait that many have and need to be successful. But when one believes he's too good to learn or be taught anything new, he will eventually fail. I can't say Sergy came across as arrogant to me but, if he drank like some say he did, then that answers about everything one needs to know about SK's demise. I agree 100% that SK was a bad man. Never in a real bad fight. Once he was on my radar, I was locked in.
I'm a Kovalev fan too, but he lost fair and square. To be up on points and lose was just bad strategy. Like others said, he didn't have a different gameplan lined up to deal with Alvarez's offense. At least utilize the jab and keep the guy away, but he was leaving his hands down trying to time Alvarez coming in it looked like, and it didn't work.
