Salita is now calling out Khan for a fight, some interesting quotes lol

"I'm ready to get Amir Khan in the ring and fight for the WBA title that belongs to me and I should have had years ago," Salita told boxingtalk.com.

"It was very disrespectful for him to fight for the title before I did and I'm going to take out all of my frustration on him when I get my belt. Amir Khan is just holding on to my championship right now."

Under WBA rules, Khan has nine months before he must give his mandatory a crack at the belt, but can defend it against someone else within 120 days.

    Thoughts?

Is he that jewish guy? Saw him on one of Oscar De la Hoya's cards a while back I think...he was pretty average imo...

Nothing for Khan to worry about for my money...

Good fight for Khan. Salita is undefeated but uninspiring. He hasn't shown he is special or could be special. Khan can win it versus his mandatory.

Khan vs Salita on the undercard of Pac vs Cotto at Madison Square Garden is the best idea I've heard in a while in boxing, they should make that happen.

Screw Vegas ... Cotto & Salita are huge draws in New York.

I think Salita would be a good fight for Khan - it will help him get exposure stateside, a relatively safe opponent(though i dont discount the hungry Salita completely) and fufill his mandatory obligation.

This would make a lot of sense, But it may become a load for Dr.Roach training the two fighters together he has done it before and if it worked well then should be a really good move. It will also allow Khan to spar Manny, last time they spared it was before the ODH fight and Khan was new to wild card. It would be great to see how they now fair as Khan has made a improved in the last 9 months under Dr.Roach.

I am sure the gym will come to a stand still seeing Manny IBO vs Khan WBA lightwelter weight world champions holders spar. :yep

I have only seen one Salita fight and he looked somewhat average. I cannot see Khan having any problems with him. The fight would be similar to the Kotelnik one but Salita's defence is much more porous, so he may get stopped from accumulation damage, or possibly TKO/KO - but that depends on his chin.
