Watching 3 of his 4 last fights, he looks a LOT better than he did against Wlad. More mobility, same power, and better legs, and hip movement.
Couldn't find the Gabe Brown fight.

Problem is they last guys he's fought have been cans. I mean not the worst of the division, but definately not top 20 guys.

Seems like he might want to get in there with a Solis or a Nipple before he tries Wlad again.

    Gotta disagree about Peter.

    Tall? He's 6 or 6'1
Well Built? He tends towards pudginess and does not have a great reach or anything.
Powerful? Overrated. Couldn't even legitimately KO maskaev.
Quick Hands? He has displayed hand speed, but rarely. Mostly he comes in slow and fat.
Great Reactions? What does he react to?

Peter is a great toughman type fighter with a solid chin and some power. Nothing more.

Gotta agree with you on this 100%. I also fully agree with Ambition_Def's 1st post.

I think Wladimir's left hook is going to be a huge factor in this fight. Wlad has a dynamite left hook that he can transition into off the jab. We already know how great his straight right is.

Samuel Peter doesn't have the speed, footwork, or defensive ability to get this done. Wladimir is not going to lose this fight. What should have happened in their first meeting will happen this time.

Sam is going to get his third Klitschko payday (this will only be his second really good one). I hope he doesn't get seriously hurt for it. He's taken a lot of shots from these two taller, heavier, and more technically sound punchers in the Klitschko brothers.

If Peter comes out to try a bumrush, then Manny Steward will have Wladimir holding his man, leaning on him, and pushing him every chance he gets -- if he even manages to get inside. Wladimir moves very well for a big man. Peter makes Wlad's footwork look better than Ali's.

A much more motivated and confident Samuel Peter tried to bumrush Wlad in their first fight. It did not work. If he tries to box with Wladimir, it will not work. He's in for a tough night no matter what. Peter is made for Wladimir in my opinion.

Respect to FourtyOunce. A true fan is ride or die and you deserve your props. Anything can happen in boxing, so if Peter manages to win, it will be real sweet for you, Fourty. :thumbsup

Fundamentals are taught by trainers at even the lowest levels of the sport. Its not that Peter hasn't been taught the basics, its that he can't pick them up due to a deficit of talent. When I look at Peter, the word obese, rather than athletic, come to mind. His power is nothing special considering a guy with his heft. Is he faster then a guy with his amount of cellulite would be? Sure. Is he faster than even an average heavyweight? Hell no.

Vitali or Vlad would stop Toney early. Easy fight for them. Vitali or Vlad will knock Peter out.

Not sure what my party affiliation has to do with anything. Tell me what I am not correct about.

Please note that I did say that he is a "great toughman type fighter." And he is. But these guys are attributing to him qualities that he just does not have.
