    It won't be Khan.

    It won't be Mitchell

The latest batch of Amateurs better make some strides.

    Thoughts?

    Praise the King.

I don't think we need a saviour, I think Ricky Hatton has done that job well, together with Calzaghe, to a lesser extent (personality wise mainly).

We need someone to take the baton on, so to speak, if you listen to Haye's interview after the Maccarinelli fight he sees himself as the man to take us forward, and I agree.

What we really need is people behind him pushing, whether it be the likes of Frankie Gavin or even young pros like Paul Appleby - but I do agree that neither Khan or both Mitchell brothers have the ability or charisma necessary.

You mean from a World level? Britain had a fantastic 2007 on the World stage, and I think the Domestic scene is very good at the minute.

I mean on a World Level and really dominate the way a peak Naz and Lennox did.

Calzaghe will be gone soon and so will Hatton ( not that he dominated anything).

    :huh

I can't imagine many more dominating performances than his one-sided beatings of world class operators Ronald MacDonald and Colonel Saunders.

yeh we dont need a saviour.

But i would say Khan, Mitchell, Haye and Froch our the new generation. Last was Calzaghe and Hatton, before that Hammed and Lewis.

Porbs after those 4 the 2012 boys will come onto play.

I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see Frankie Gavin doing much as a pro.

    Tyson Fury just might though!!

What did Naseem dominate that Ricky Hatton hasnt? I agree with Brawler, Hatton/Calz have done a good job following on from Lennox Lewis and Nigel Benn. Think its up to Haye next.

Khan will prove one way or the other within the next two years I think. Cant see Mitchell getting beyond domestic level.

Amatuers are looking good though... Frankie Gavin and David Price come on!

No one really stands out, Gavin is nothing wow and will be found out soon as the cubans will be at the olympics.

Eubank Junior is going to be the next big thing...NOT.

There Is Nothing Like An Olympic Medal Winner To Introduce New Fans To Boxing. Lets Hope Beijing Gets The Country Talking About The Noble Art Again.
I Think Were In Store For Another Great Year For The Pros...froch, Khan, Mitchell And Haye To Take The Baton From The Veterans Of Zaghe And Hatton.
