Time for a whole new perspective on last night. Scott Quigg's jaw is as badly broken as you will see, to have even completed the fight shows ***** the size of g****fruits, to have actually pushed the attack for several rounds with an injury of such seriousness shows courage 99.9% of the population couldn't even comprehend. Shane Mcguigan running around screaming ''1-0!!!'' seems even more pathetic now than it did last night. Heal up soon Scott Quigg, warrior with pride and courage way beyond the call of duty.
Nonesense..personally i aint buying the badly broken jaw thing.defo not serious. You hav clearly watched the interviews post fight going by ur 1-0 comment but fail to mention the quigg interview where he said he felt his jaw go at end of round 4 so took round 5 easy to asses it and when hit there he said himself said ther was no pain so then pushed forward.certainly didnt look to discomforted after the fit when talking. I will concede that i dont think that quigg is a bull****ter tho he prob has damaged his jaw but nowhere near to the extent you talk about and it was after the jaw damage that he actually had any success so could in theory be the reason he came back into the fight. I wanted frampton to win but didnt really want quigg to lose as he is a very likeable guy and a fantastic role model.i hope quigg bounces back and picks up another world title

The McGuigan 's act like they are above the rest of the British boxing fraternity, when in reality they are classless.
But Quigg waving a little cheque about and grinning like moron is classy? Gallagher digging out Shane McGuigan every time a camera was put in front of his face was classy? Hearn saying for months he worked really well with Blain McGuigan and gets on well with him but come presser time says "shut up little boy". Was that classy? Both camps acted badly, both fighters had bad moments but don't get bitter about it and dig out the McGuigans alone.
If you or 99.9% of people broke your jaw you would be rolling about crying, go to hospital and take a week or two of work. Scott Quigg stood and let it get hit repeatedly from a man who had the power to break it in the first place. The lack of respect some folk have on here towards boxers is a disgrace but it is easy to sit on the couch at home and act like an internet hardman- different story putting your health on the line in a ring......too many on here have no appreciation of that because they would never have the ***** to step in a ring.
I hear what your saying and i agree with just about everything you say. Im just dubious about the break. I have had a severe jaw break before when i was in a car crash and strangely didnt feel all that much pain after it had happened im sure that was due to adrenaline and shock but the swelling was huge and i could barely speak properly at all pretty much straight away. The xray shown looked a fairly clean decent break. I just struggle to believe it happened either at all or as early as they say.im not saying there wasnt damage to his jaw or even that ther wasnt a break as quigg seems a very honest bloke.i just question if the xray pics were genuine or if it happened so early
There are so many different types of breaks and fractures your break may be very different. No reason not to believe him as he said he was ok and didnt use it as an excuse
yeah my break was completely different to be fair.its mainly the swelling thing but i dare say quigg is a fair tougher man than myself so perhaps he was able to get thro it. I personally believe ther was damage but i think it might have happened later in the fight i dont remember any mention of it in the corner during the fight but again i might be wrong.iv got it recorded so i might watch it again to see
To be fair Blaine started giving it the biggun playing a smart alec. Hearn rightly put the little ***** in his place.
Full respect to quigg for carrying on, deserves credit for sticking in there while fighting a losing battle for sure. However, have you ever had a broken jaw? It's really not as bad as you're making out. I broke mine and didn't even realise, went to work for 3 days then went to the hospital on the Saturday and they told me I'd broken it. granted I wasn't being punched repeatedly on it, but with adrenaline pumping i can imagine it'd be okay, as quigg said himself. Strangely enough I think it's one of the injuries that would affect a fighter the least, a bad cut above the eye, broken fingers or broken nose are going to have a far worse effect on a fighters performance IMO.
What a pointless post. You do realise the degree to which you break a bone can be significantly different? And as you said, you weren't taking punches so the comparison is utterly useless.
