Edit - after reflection, this thread is disrespectful to Malik Scott and is not a fair assessment of him.

Another question, why was Scott even involved in a WBC final eliminator?

I think paid. Wilder knew he didn’t hit Scott at all and acted like he did, he was in on it. Wilder didn’t even graze Scott with that punch which is clear from one of the angles

Imagine a Kevin Johnson v Malik Scott bout. I think the record of the least amount of punches thrown in a heavyweight contest would be shattered in that one. :campeon:

I mentioned it in some conspiracy thread on this forum. I bet Scott played on time to get 12 rounds so that they can judge what Ortiz has to offer in the fight with Wilder.

Malik Scott is obviously a "Team Player". Why else would a fighter hire a former opponent that laid down in 30 seconds from a glancing blow as their trainer?

Scuba is Wilder's pal and was offered twerking lessons to take a dive.

He got this weak mental to not even try when it getting hard.
He is just Wilder ass licker and he always do what can help his master who give him food on the table.

Poor because he is pretty good technican boxer.

That wink he gave Wilder before getting " knocked out " was obvious.

Pretty obvious that he took a dive against Wilder. It is no coincidence that they appear to be best friends and he is now WIlder's trainer. LOL they are not even trying to hide it.

He definitely took a dive against Wilder. I don't think there's any denying that.

Against Chisora and Ortiz I think he just showed his complete lack of heart. He's a real pathetic cuck of a fighter, but a good company man I guess. Plus, in his prime, he genuinely had world class skills.

Wilder never landed on Scott. It was a grotesque fix

Some fights are fixed and some aren't and it's all got to do with the betting odds, how much money is in circulation for the contest and the players involved which includes the boxers themselves because some will flat out refuse to fold.

The idea is to take a legitimate shot deliberately. Not a grazed shot, not a glancing blow, but a flush and heavy legitimate shot on purpose and in return receive financial incentive ahead of time. It has to be a legitimate shot otherwise people will cotton on to some bull****. I wouldn't want to be a Butch Coolidge on the run.

Who wouldn't take a legitimate shot if they were getting paid life changing money? Bare in mind life changing money means something different to a street dweller compared to someone who’s already got a bit.

What Scott and Wilder did was balls it up and expose the inner workings of a fixed fight to anyone that’s watching closely.

The thing is, most people aren’t watching closely. They don’t obsess, they buy into the official result. Even if they thought the fight was rigged at the time, they shrug it off and keep coming back for more.

I’m a fan of the sport and as I said before not every fight you see on TV is rigged, in fact most aren't, the juice has to be worth the squeeze and everyone has to be onboard.
