I've just fought and lost my second fight after having a few months off. I did a lot better this time round though and the guy I was fighting had 5 or 6 kg on me a few days before the fight so I'm not too bummed. He kept rushing in though and hitting wild hooks so I got caught a few times. What's best to do in this situation, counter punch or just get out of the way?

not nessicarily either, but slip. those wide punches are the easiest to dip your head, load your hips, and come up with a powerful hook.

Pop him in the face with a jab as he's loading up for those hooks, then just step back. Repeat.

Unlucky on the loss mate keep your head up. When he throws those wild hooks, you should throw straight punches down the middle.

I agree, just throw strait punches..I recomend to use your jab and move side to side to keep him away. he's gonna swing wild and miss, thats when you counter with ur right followed by a left hook. but keep your jab pumping
