They are fulfilling the contract with the freeview viewer.

I e-mailed them last week about the fact the Jennings fight was on Setanta 2 (a a freeviewer) I advised unless they issued me with a refund for this month's viewing, I would cancel...no response as yet...they are taking the **** with this.

setanta are not, they advertised "top class boxing from both sides of the pond" to freeview viewers and if they took a subscription off people on the basis of those people acting upon that ad, then that aspect of the ad forms part of the contract.simples

I can't wait to tune in at 4am for the rerun of the Blue Square Premier clash of Oxford vs. Torquay Utd.

Quote: "So if I get Virgin Broadband, will I get I get setanta 1 and 2? if so, then I will take this option but I cant be screwed around anymore. "

I'm with Virgin (NTL as was) and am pretty sure that you have to take their full package to get Setanta for free. To be honest, it all seems much of a muchness and you're screwed all ways - they always get their money! But I'd be lost without Setanta - I mean how good will tonight be? seriously can't wait.

I was thinking of booking it onto a Freeview set I have in one of the wean's rooms but foolishly thought I'd get the whole lot! Now I know the score and won't be making that call. I also take Sky and am pretty sure that the family package with Virgn gets you some kind of discount... yet more dosh and even more if you then get tempted by PPV events. (The Khan fiasco still hurts!!! So much so that I'm personally making the trip to manchester for the next one. I don't actually blame Khan, I'm just the guy who was robbed and Warren was the robber that night.)

Easy way to settle the debate, you sue them for false advertising and breach of contract and we'll see how far you get...
