    I missed the first three rounds but watched Sexton sweep the last five with my own eyes.

    The official cards were shocking.

    Was this just cosmic justice for the draw with Bayaar? :lol:

    I legitimately feel that Flash Ash got screwed. He clearly won five rounds. Unless Robbo did something significantly different in the first three than what he showed me in rounds 4-8, the final tally shouldn't have even been close (perhaps even a shutout).

    I didn't score it (because we didn't see the full fight), plenty thought Robinson won it though. Didn't you give the first fight to Sexton as well, IB? I had the first to Robinson by a point, so it could be just down to which work you favour in this particular match-up :good

    I felt Robinson did just enough to nick it. I'd like to see them fight again down the line. Truthfully I wouldn't complain if there was another immediate rematch, but I'd prefer to see them fight a 10 or 12-rounder for an English or British title at some point. I know the Sky commentary team were floating that idea about last night, but with Robinson being 0-2-3 in his last 5 he'd need to get a few more in the 'W' column before I can see that happening.

    I scored the first round then Sky decided to skip round 2 just telling us it was "a bit closer". I then scored round 3 only for them to completely avoid round 4 at which point I lost all interest in watching a Just1n Timberlake mini-me stalk Sexton without actually throwing many good punches.

    Then I think it was round 7 and bizarrely we could hear Bob Mee in the background saying "yep close fight. Could have gone either way. Draw. Could fight again." :lol:

    There isn't much fuss about Sexton, Billy. Not since he got exposed against Bayaar anyway, and most of the fuss came from our esteemed friend Rob Palmer ;)

    Sexton talks about knocking guys out and being so good yet he struggles to beat guys like Robinson. It may of been clearer as you say IB. Personally the rounds we saw on Sky was scrappy. He's not going very far IMO.

    Got no power really has he? It looked brilliant for him against Uzzy, but lets be honest that guy is a blatant tomato can, amazing ring entrance but in any other division he wouldn't be top 50 in Britain.

    Tbh i'd fancy i could spark Usman and that's not keyboard warrior talk the guy holds his chin so high and flings arrum punches. All i need is a few weeks in the Gymnasium :yep

    Ah, so SKY only showed it on delay in that chopped up piecemeal fashion that they do? :verysad

    Russian TV showed the full eight rounds; I was just late tuning in.

    For all I know Robinson swept the first three (although I tend to sincerely doubt it) - but even if he did, there just isn't a case to be made IMO for him to win or for it to be any closer than 77-75 for Sexton.

    I wasn't able to be influenced by commentary (as it was in Russian) and honestly couldn't find a round among 4-8 to give Robinson. A few were "close" in the sense that he made Sexton struggle to be effective and I suppose you could say he "outworked" him at times - but the quality of that "work" was atrocious. Boxing is scored on clean effective blows, which are something Robbo just isn't capable of producing much of. Awful style, that doesn't deserve to be rewarded. In all of the last five rounds, Ashley was the only one landing clean shots between all the grabbing and clawing (outside a stray Robinson dig) - not a great deal of them, but more than the goose egg Mike kept rolling. Excessive holding and copious missing tend to make me feel one has lost, even if their work rate happens to be higher.

    Aye, had the first 78-75 to Ashley. I think if they fought ten consecutive 8-rounders it would probably look pretty similar each time (that is, the fight itself as well as my card). :lol:

    To me Robinson looks to be on a completely lower level; not skilled enough to even share the ring with Sexton.

    Mind you, I've no great fondness for Sexton in light of the Shinny fiasco. To me he's just well beyond Robinson's level. I didn't see that a rematch was warranted, and now the door's open for a rubbermatch. :patsch (and then if Robinson somehow wins, a fourth meeting will be required to break the tie).
