Here me out fellas. I re-watched the snoozefest pacquiao vs mosley. I was looking for opportunities where mosley could have capitalized but simply didnt. When he circled to his left manny constantly lunged to reach him with that jab and also constantly loss his balance reaching with his straight right. Manny at this point in his career can be outboxed and not even with much movement. Just with tight defense and circling manny can be beaten. Mayweather or any other disciplined fighter should be licking their chops. Manny has slowed down significantly and a slick, disciplined and defensive-minded fighter can defeat pacman. Thoughts!?

Well, maybe a more accurate way to put it is that Pac is slipping a bit, but to say that Mosley exposed him probably gives Shane too much credit, because mostly he fought timidly.

Sounds easy........Unfortunately it's a lot harder than you try to make it sound...even with your "re-watching" of the fight. The only think Shane showed was how to SURVIVE against PAC....Not how to WIN!

If you are looking for the blue print to get a payday and make it 12 against manny then you definitly need to take a page from the Shane Mosely book. other than that...in order to beat PAC you need to have the right style and hold PHYSICAL advantages over the guy.

Which is why some think Floyd can beat PAC. And even with that winning combination there's still a major risk of coming out like all the others who failed in there with Manny.

I'd sure hate to "expose" Pac then if "exposed" means taking the most ever power punches from an opponent in a 20 year pro boxing career. :!:

Nazim wanted Mosley to circle to his left and then when Manny lunges in off balance, he was to throw his right hand at the right angle, but Mosley can't pull the trigger

Shane saw the openings but couldnt pull the trigger, common amongst aging fighters. The a jab, right hook, straight right hand would've have easily landed on Manny. If you watch he constantly was losing his balance and Mosley slight movement when he circled and Manny reached would be any counter-punchers dream. Manny is not the same. He trained for a Shane that would attack him. That not what Brother Nazim teaches. The " Boxing Shane " surprised Manny but his own admission and Manny really did not know how to combat that except with lunging. He looked amateurish.

I wouldnt say that Mosley exposed Manny, he may have exposed a flaw of Mannys but he didnt expose him to the point in which you would say thats the way you beat him.

The reason I am saying this is becuase Mosley did not take advantage of any of those openings he created in making Manny Miss. He did circle away from Manny, he looked like he had a game plan in the 1st round, as he would slide back and out to his left when Manny would come punching his way in...

Marquez showed us that but he also filled the holes that he created giving us two great fights in doing so... However Marquez got a few lumps himself in taking those opportunitys and whos to say that Mosley would have got to the 12th had he tried to fill the gaps?

Honestly the way I see it, Pacqiuao is a special fighter, and it takes a specific style to beat him, that was what we saw with Morales, and Marquez, if you push manny back from time to time and counter off his miss you will have some luck......

There is one fighter we know that can counter like that all day long, but he doesnt come forward enough to even it out, and you can not exactly be in reverse the entire night with Manny he will adjust you need to off set him in order to make the game plan work and you off set his ass by doing things he is not going to expect.

I think Mayweather beats Manny rather easily, but its a fight I dont think we will ever get to see... sadly someone is afraid of blood testing while another guy is on Vacation with out the urge to fight, and how can we blame either, Mayweather has a ton of legal issues that he must get addressed before going into a fight this big, and Manny needs to realize that if he doesnt like the site of his blood he shouldnt be a fighter.

JMM will counter at the openings... Unlike mosely who was there for his retirement money because his ex wife emptied him out.

PAC will look all confused and when his body does not allow him to move as quick as it did, and act wildly it will play into JMM's hands.

I honestly think Robert Guerrero gives him a hard way to go as well.

Good post.....JMM had the blue print on beating PAc but that blue print needs to be revised given PAC has been upgraded since their last meeting.

JMM unfortunately is operating outside of his ideal weight class in this fight and he's also been on the slide for many years. If not for his incredible skill set and heart he would be where MAB is right now...semi retired.

Floyd and Sergio are two guys who absolutely have a real chance at beating PAC...Not this version of JMM. But JMM will come to fight which means we'll see a KO.

True. And some may argue Marquez has faced the stiffer competition.

Mayweather doesn't have the style to beat Pacquiao. He's too much of a potshot artist, doesnt throw combinations, and he's overly defensive. Also has a questionable chin. Marquez has the blueprint, or at least the best one out there to beat Pacquiao. But physically he might not have the tools anymore.

The ghost would be a problem for JMM as well! I think JMM wins but Guerrro is flying under the radar since he' hasn't been able to really put in 100% to his boxing career with the situation with his wife. A fully focused Robert seems to be what we have right now. It's a good look.
