I think Moore can neutralize Shavers´ right while landing his own more often than not. This fight ends quite early I think. Two big punchers where one has a decent chin, very good defence and is an atg finisher while the other one has a glassy one, a decent defence at best and is a pretty crappy finisher ... not that hard to pick. Of course if Shaves lands his right it´s probably over but I don´t think he has more than a decent puncher´s chance.

Archie's much the better boxer here, a far more effective puncher, and he can get up and recover from a devastating knockdown if need be, something Shavers only did against Sims. Staying power is clearly in his favor. Moore actually weighed a quarter pound more for his tenth round knockout of Besmanoff than Shavers did for Ellis. The Mongoose had the heft to hang with Earnie. Archie probably ends this in ten, like he did Besmanoff II, Whitehurst and Lavorante.

Archie has too many ring smarts for Earnie to contend with,Moore by late stoppage.

    Shavers wins by brutal KO.
Wright's chin was rather weak , he was just a great weightcutter for his era , a cw fighting @ lhw , no wonder Charles , Burley and a few more did a number on him , and I know the excuses made for him , but whenever he decided to fight men close to his own size he lost more often than not , the excuse , partly legitimate is that he was old when he decided to move up , but he never stood a chance vs Louis , Marchegiano , Cream , not to mention the bigger guys .

Moore by late round stoppage. He'd probably be decked early by a Shavers right that would get through, but he'd be able to roll with the follow up attack and start to land hard counter shots. By the mid rounds Earnie would be slowing down and Moore would be getting into a rythm and landing more frequently. By the 7th or 8th round Shavers would be pretty spent as Moore unloads more hard counter shots and starts to take the lead and finally stop Earnie with a barrage of hard punches.

Moore has the ring smarts/skills and overall better but Shavers could spark him with 1 punch and would be a big danger especially early given the number of times Moore was ko'd, a KO either way is most likely although Moore could box to a decision.

Or maybe Shaver blows off the top of his head and sends him back to the street of dreams. I'm just saying if Yvon Durelle nearly did it its certainly feasible that Shavers could too.
