We all know who has more power, but what this fight would come down to is who has the better chin. I think Peter stops Shavers

Actually, I have thought at length about this. Wladimir rocked Peter so Shavers would KO him clean if he connected. Pound for pound, Shavers was one of the hardest puncher ever. Shavers for the most part had a good chin, unless he got tired and then all bets were off. If Shavers caught Peter early within the first 6 rounds, KO Shavers. After 6, it is anyone's fight.

Shavers didn't have the sturdiest beard and so I think in a firefight Sam comes out big in this one.

i'll take shavers by ud... neither guy had great stamina but i think shavers would throw more punches and he had the better skill in there too...

As untechnical as Peter is I think he is actually the more technical boxer of the two, Shavers was just wild.

Of course coming from the 1970's he receives the standard overrating that even the most mediocre heavyweights receive.

Peter wins this by either KO in the later rounds or by UD.

I actually think the 90's were a superior decade in terms of talent.
Superior because I think the heavyweights were superior from a technical sense and generally better all round fighters.

We had A fighters such as Lewis/Tyson/Holyfield/Bowe
and then a whole throng of B fighters such as Holmes/Mccall/Ibeabuchi/Tua/Morrison/Golota/Mercer etc etc

I feel the fighters from the 90's were genuinely superior to their 70's counterparts.

The only negative aspect of the 90's is we didn't get to see all the matches we would have wanted and not all the fighters fighting one another.

Shavers for all his Power had horrible HORRIBLE stamina hell his stamina was probablly so bad because he had so much umpth behind those punches. Anyway I dont know who wins probablly Peter cause he can take a better punch and doesnt have HORRIBLE stamina.
