Great female trilogy potential if Savannah plays it right. Don't try to rush the 50/50 — Shields is too defensively savvy, has better combinations and better hand speed. Keep her at the end of a jab instead, feinting, stiff arming and pulling the trigger when she attempts to engage. Patiently take (boring) rounds and force Shields to take risks.

Good chance Marsh freezes again, but it's a fight I'll be eagerly waiting for, just like the first time.

Think the speed difference of hand and foot was the difference.. Marshall just couldn't pin down Shields enough to build pressure and consistently land the big shots. Shields was fast, and accurate and landed clean plenty.
A good fight too many saying it was a beat down. It was clear win for Shields but Marshall won rounds and had some bright moments late in the fight.

Foot? Sheilds didn`t move much at all spending long periods blocking on the ropes like Benitez v Duran.

Shields is in a different league to Savanna, I gave Savanna 2 rounds at best it reminded me of AJ Usyk 1..

Fair play if they can sell the fight to casuals again..

I just can’t see it in the Shields Marshall rematch. Two different fighters, and the first fight was one sided imo. I am not holding my breath for a thrilling rematch. Shields was way too savvy for Marshall.

It was a good fight, and great viewing, but it was not close. Marshall was a step behind nearly all the way.

Good, it’s a pointless fight, one can slap slightly better than the other one

Agree. I guess if Shields tried a different more offensive style, she might get caught more often but land a bit more. I can't see Shields sparking her but you could make a case for it the other way. Sadly for Marshall I just don't think she'd get that close.

Not that many punches were landed, Shields fought in flurries, it was a great fight.

Marshall caught Shields flush in the first round and Shields said she felt that power and had to adjust.

She was still able to pivot and out maneuver Marshall and was faster on her feet while doing so. She certainly didn't spend the whole fight just sat in one place.

One thing Marshall needs to learn to do is clinch also. She wasn't winning those 50/50 exchanges up close as mentioned above, certainly not early on when Shields was still fresh.

Needs to learn to clinch to shut down Shields offense early on when she tries to work up close. Keep it on the outside as much as possible early on, then pressure and Maul Shields later in the fight once the speed of offence disparity is more equal as Shields tires.
