I would have to say Shogun just because, but this will be a great fight!

This will be a one sided affair.

Very hard to call. That's why it's a great decision to give Bones this fight.

I'm a huge fan of both guys, never bought into the hate for Bones Jones, and was impressed with him, knew he would be special the first time I saw him. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised at anything in this fight.

    :good

I like the matchup but I am NOT gonna count Shogun out like Chimba. Shogun is one of the all-time best LHW. As long as he can stay health (which is a problem for him). Shogun has ko power, knees, killer instinct, submissions from top AND bottom, g'n'p. Shogun has it all, Bones has the potential but I'm not going against Shogun.

I was impressed with him for a couple years, a 20 year old grabbing someones neck and throwing them like a rag, that has to tell you something.

It does, but it doesn't tell me he is gonna give a one-sided beat down to Shogun Rua!

jones is very skilled but against shogun he will be tested against a very gifted experienced striker and dangerous bjj blackbelt also with an iron chin.

no one is going to run through shogun rua, thats for sure.

That's also coming very soon, March 19th. Precisely 1 month and a half from now. Short notice for both guys.

It doesn't necessarily mean a beatdown but that damn length and athleticism of Jones would give Rua fits. He was content with staying out of range of Machida in their first fight and use his low kicks. He aint winning that way against Bones.

But I can just feel a Jones spectacular move to end this thing.

What do you guys think of Shoguns shape tonight? He looked real big.

6 weeks is a while though, I imagine both are going to have to formulate a battle plan in the next coupleof days, still stunned by the announcement.
