Jones is a phenomenon... ...but he is 23, has never been caught with a big shot, never put under intense pressure, never been in a war, never beaten a champion... And Shogun is one of the toughest, most experienced, most explosive, most mentally strong fighters in the game today. After Machida blew away Thiago Silva and thrashed Rashad Evans, people (including myself) thought he was the next ATG. And Shogun beat him twice IMO. Shogun doesn't get fazed. He gets brutal. Jones will be a great champion, but this is not his time. Not yet. Not against an experienced, elite level operator like Shogun. Shogun KO2.
jones has that air of invincibility that machida has and we all know what happened there that said, it's a real pick em fight. can't wait!
meh... I like Jones but I don't like that he has to fight this quick of a turn around. 5 weeks to prepare for Shogun.
no injuries and 100% fit, shogun will **** people up on his feet and defend or look to break bones on the ground! size don't matter, ask Overeem x2 or Diabate.
