    Obviously Marciano was the short puncher "par excellance", and I'm not refering to his height or reach in making that statement.

    Watch the Patterson fights. I forget in which one, but just before knocking out Floyd he brought up a huge punch almost from the floor that really did in poor Floyd. And he had a looong jab. I mean, sometimes he rammed his jab (I think the word 'flick' will not do justice to his jab) from a short distance while at other times he threw the jab from almost his shoulder.

    Actually, Liston threw all sorts of punches.
