    That've had the most affect?

Foreman floored Moorer and split the inside of his friggin' mouth open with a straight but true shot.

Joe Louis supposedly could kill you with punches travelling all of six or so inches.

Yory Bory Campas floored Tito with a 6' hook, or so I've heard.

And what makes a fight able to do this? Is it different from raw power? How fast you can get a punch going, what?

...I always thought Tito had one of the best hooks, any of his knockouts you can tell his hook was monster.

Jack Dempsey could throw every combination in the book without a punch traveling more than 12".

Barbados Joe Walcott, his straight jab and right hand were short punches compared to other guys.

 He was a full foot in height smaller than a fair number of his opponents ... methinks JT1's being a lil' bit cheeky with this one

Tyson's short hooks, bodyshots and uppercuts- especially during the '86 title winning fight against Berbick spring to mind. They were the epitome of short, compact, fast and devestating punches.

Louis (vs Schmeling II) should be mentioned in the same vein, whoever chose Arguello was spot on. Julian Jackson also ...:yep

I still find it amazing that he had the time to invent spring loaded boots akin to some kind of 'Back II The Future' invention from the Doc ... well, if he was going to knock out the gargantuan beasts and giants of his day, he had to reach their chins somehow :deal

I saw that lame joke coming form a mile away, and yet I still figured I'd ask in the hope for an intelligent answer.

    The shame...!

'Twas like a moth to a flame, non?

Shortest punches, look for Dempsey, Louis, Tyson, Armstrong could throw really neat short hooks, SRR could do damage from short, Ike Williams had a decent inside arsenal, Chavez could do damage inside, Eubank had an excellent short uppercut for my money ... capable of KO'ing anyone at the weight if he caught them right.

More like a moth knowing what he was heading for but hoping things might be different for once. ;)
