For me this is the most fan friendly of the so called " super fights " out there at the moment . And this is the one id like to see the most out of them all !!! :deal For 101 reasons this fight is too close to call , therefore im just gonna vote and not give a reason . Shogun UD in a thriller ...................
Rua KO1/2. Rua would do to Anderson what he did to Machida in the rematch. I honestly think Rua's natural weight would be around 220 if he didn't have to cut to 205, which I'm sure he weighed in Pride at some point. He is an absolute tank of a lightheavy. I believe people would be shocked at how much bigger and stronger Rua would be than Anderson once they were in the cage together. Look at the way Rua manhandled guys with his grappling in Pride, he threw guys around like ragdolls, taking down the likes of L'il Nog at will, and controlling the likes of Overeem. Look at the way Silva has had real trouble dealing with the grappling and ground games of Hendo, Sonnen, and even guys like Travis Lutter! Rua is resilient enough to take Silva's shots without folding, and if he ever gets hurt he could easily take the fight to the mat, where he would have a massive strength advantage. Can Anderson take Rua's best? No. Aside from the fact Chael Sonnen was wobbling him, Anderson is not big enough to stand up to the Rua assault IMO.
Shotgun. I take Spider by TKO 2. He's still the best around. Sonnen is good but he cheated, still got beat.
Shogun KO. If Sonnen can tag Silva then Shogun can, if he rocks him then he's the best finisher in the sport.
My boy Silva via KO!! Silva p4p#1 baby!! Anderson eats non technical fighters for breakfast and his BJJ is better than Shogun "turtle guard" Rua.
Who has he ever beaten that's remotely similar to Shogun? If he decimates Belfort I might reconsider my stance, but I mean decimate because Shogun is quite a bit better than Belfort.
Would Silva want to get into a clinch war with Shogun? Really? This would be a ****ing great fight for however long it lasted, though.
non technical? you must of missed the first machida fight, just because he's aggressive doesn't mean he's not technical, and shoguns bjj is better the top bjj players talk very highly of him, whereas silvas is thought of as overrated, dont let the griffin fight fool you he was coming back from injury!
