No hes not, he wails wildly. He looked good in the Machida fight because he had a sound gameplan of being patient and using kicks to keep range. A totally bad matchup for the even more patient Machida. The KO punch connected but it was pretty wide, He didnt even see it himself I think.

He has a good chin I give him that and very good at preventing submissions. Hes a very good scrambler but hes no submission expert.

    He will get spanked

What a war, I got Shogun on points.

Rua is used to fighting the bigger men & I think the power in his leg kicks would take their toll on Anderson & slow him down, making him more defensive than usual, Anderson is at his best when he comes forward with a feeling of superiority knowing that his striking is on a different level to his opponent, he wont have that luxury vs Rua because Rua is usually in the same boat, super confident in his Muay Thai not to mention the chances he can afford to take offensively due to his iron chin.

The edge in technique has to go to Silva, he`s the best technical striker in all of MMA IMO but Shogun has great technique too & wont be made to look a clear 2nd best by anyone in this regard, not even Anderson, the pace Rua sets in the fight will not suit Anderson, he prefers a measured pace were his technical ability takes over, wont happen vs Rua... this wont be a ground fight but Im sure Rua will be the one most able to score the takedowns should he need to & no-one has a decided edge in BJJ as far as I can make out.

Shogun on points for me !

Styles makes fight, Id like to see him kick Silva a few times see what happens. He aint taking Silva down, hes not a great TD guy and he wont do anything if he did and Silva will get up.

Also if they fight at 205, Silva will be the bigger man.

He will get busted up, only thing that may prevent a stoppage is Ruas toughness, Hes got a rubbery build, hard to crack.

Vitor has more of a chance to beat Silva IMO

I`ll make a bet with you if this fight gets made. Sounds like you underrate Rua, he`s the best offensive fighter in MMA when fully fit, which he has been since the Chuck fight.

Shogun can take Silva down like he wants.. He always has some tricky takedown or trip, like he took Chuck Liddell down..
Anderson Silva is not the bigger man

Look Rua has a ton of Pride fanboys its hard to argue right now. Look at the poll . He has always had sloppy striking but it worked in Pride since he was allowed kicks on the ground and stomps (which he took full adv of)

He was good against Machida with the gameplan and was wise not to engage too much and saved some energy. He looked **** against Coleman and Liddell, as sloppy a striker youre going to find. He has no sub game.

Check back with me after this fight.

    I wouldnt.
Vs GSP, anderson already know what GSP would do(I stillfavour GSP )..vs Shogun, Anderson would have no idea of Rua's gameplan..

Rua is the GOAT at 205:hey

Yep, Wanderlei is no1 as far as `greatness` goes but Shogun I believe is a `better fighter` than Wandy ever was & by the time he gets to the age Wandy is now I expect him to be viewed as both `greatest` & `best` ever at 205 lbs.

Rua is Wandy sans intimidation. Same strking style, Rua a slight edge with kicks, Wand with Cardio.

Shotgun will kill spida. Especially if he uses 00 buckshot. Some other good fighters are

    Chuck "Icepick" Liddell
    Stephan "American Psychic" Bonner
    Michael "The ****" Bisping
    Fedor "The Last Supper" Emelienko
    Tito "Huntington Beach Fatboy" Ortiz
    Wanderlai "The Axe Sharpener" Silva

    :good
