His handspeed was still pretty blistering against Canelo, he just got timed and KTFO'd because his defense and chin are weak. Lo Greco was never the kind of opponent to test if he had improved upon his defensive lapses so I can wholeheartedly say that no, he should not chase a Canelo rematch. I'd like to see him rematch Peterson. He needs rounds after such a layoff and avenging what many saw as an iffy loss would be a good boost to his resume.
Khan needs to let that ship sail if he's seriously thinking about what he can do differently should they fight again, because a Canelo Ko is sure to happen again.
While Khan does have a speed advantage, Canelo does everything much better. Khan can never beat Canelo. In their fight it was clearly obvious that Khan's gameplan was throw punches and GTFO of the way. On the other hand you could see Canelo thinking, using different feints and types of punches attempting to trick Khan and also break him down with body punches. By round six Canelo's work paid off, Khan's body was visibly bruised, he had slowed down a tad bit, and his guard was now focused on covering the body, and with a feint Canelo lands his signature right hand to put Khan in a deep sleep he had never experienced before.
No. The first fight was pointless. Canelo is simply too big. Khan needs to fight at 147 for a title challenge. He’s a live wire against anyone in that division
