Should Vitali fight Haye?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by ThereIsOnlyOne, May 13, 2012.

  1. A lot of people want to see Haye fight Vitali whether it's just to see Haye get knocked out, or to see Vitali's aura of invincibility shattered, or even just to make the Heavyweight Division more exciting.
However others think it's a sham fight, don't want to see Haye running again, or don't think he deserves a shot against Vitali.
    What are your thoughts?
    Poll added.
I would love to see Vitali fight Haye. Think Haye has a decent chance (25-30%) of beating Vitali after seeing the Chisora fight. Would be greater if Vitali wasn't so big and his chin wasn't so iron. I also think he would be one of the best scalps on Vitali's record (if not the best). To some his biggest moment is a brilliant losing effort to Lennox Lewis.

Yes, fight him, win, lose or draw but in case you win, Vitali ot to ThereIsOnlyOne, the better. Retire and we get two rabbits out of the hat.

why not? if haye beats chisora, why not? it's not like there's a host of top contenders that pose as exciting of a potential matchup, who ACTUALLY are willing to get in the ring with vitali. It would be cool if this fight could go down in london in the fall.

Of course, it's a win that enhances his legacy. Wins over the likes of Gomez, a shot Briggs, Arreola, Johnson, Sosnowski, Adamek, Solis and so far Chisora don't do anything for his legacy, other than re-iterate his dominance and longevity. Haye would actually enhance his resume, and would be a marquee win, especially if he goes one step further than Wlad and stops Haye.

    No.

Haye's a ****. Plus he hasn't earned the shot. Even after he beats Chisora, he won't have earned the shot.

Boxing is already in embarrassing shape. Let's not make it worse.

Well if Vitali can stay healthy why not? It would be great to see Vitali get one more big win before he retires.

:good If Haye beats Chisora, Haye will overestimate his value as usual and price himself out.

If Haye wins then I'd love to see it but he doesn't have to.

  13. Held a heavyweight title and has one loss at heavyweight to Wlad. Unified Cruiserweight champ... who do you think has earned a shot over Haye?

He has to get past Chisora first, wich isn't a given by any means.
After that he can serve as a Vitali victim :yep

Sure; with rematch clause for Wlad.
