Happy with his performance and changed attitude!
He had quality sparring with Martin Murray and Rocky Fielding so again I'd thank them and Oliver Harrison

common Burns was schooled by Terrence think Burns as achieved a lot considering his ability...one things for sure he needs to ditch Tony Sims and get his ass back with Billy Nelson Burns was awful the other night.

Most people believe Crawford left a LOT in the tank that night versus Burns as he was outclassing him badly.

Howard davis jr was a great Olympian, decent pro but couldn't break an egg that's why jim watt beat him, Crawford's a counter puncher who can dig,and would be too much for dear old jim !!

He was awful in his last three fights with Billy.

Couldn't get into range, no head movement, scared to take a punch.

He developed ALL of those things whilst with Billy.

Gamboa won the first 4 rounds last night, went out to win fight, and put it on Crawford, were as Ricky never lay a glove on the guy. Never stung him once in 12 rounds, as never tried to. It was a cowardly performance, he just rolled over in front of his home crowd without trying to go out on his sword. Would any of the Scottish greats have done that, NO, they would have throw kitchen sink at Crawford if in that situation. If Ricky done that I would have for 1 gave him all the respect in the world, but he never tried to

Finally some sanity. The difference last nite was that Gamboa went for the all out kill, something Burns was not prepared to do.At least Gamboa went out on his shield and put on a much better performance than Burns could ever imagine.Gamboa would murder Burns if they ever met-which will never happen.Back to domestic fights for Burns were he belongs.

Aye his work was classy on Friday. Only thing that gets me with him is his lack of punching power. That's a few times I've seen him now and he's always landing good shots but they don't move his opponents much. Hopefully you can get him to plant his feet a bit and he'll be a force.

Crawford is a classy operator, I thought he barely got out of 1st gear against Burns and boxed well within himself that night.

I predicted Crawford beating Gamboa before the fight and I expect him to go on to be a p4p fighter.

My view, as I have said before, is that I don't understand why Burns didn't take some time off to rest, heal and regroup. I'm not sure if he has dealt with the psychological damage associated with the broken jaw.

Ricky needs a realist who has his best interests at heart advising him. He can still have some good nights ahead but he has to be very careful how he plots the route.
