Sky Box Office question

The khan show next week clashes with Strictly & X Factor. They are on series link and the Mrs & the kids watch both every Saturday.

I phoned sky today and was reassured that if I buy the SBO event it will appear on both my TV's and therefore I could start to watch the bill in the spare room and then move down later to the comfort of the sofa.

A poster on here said this was not true and it would only come up on one viewing card.

Could there be a difference bearing on how you book ie if you book via your remote control it is linked to that TV only, or if you book by phone (pay the extra £1.00) it comes up all TVs?

    Anyone know?

The key point here is why the **** are you letting the missus watch Strictly and X Factor?

The person you spoke to is wrong. It only comes up on one TV, you'll need to book it on the one you intend to finish watching it on.

Unfortunately family life is not as straight forward as that. I am in the minority and it is 3 against 1. For the main event I will have total control of the remote, but I do not want conflict during the early part of the show, and am happy to withdraw to the peace of the spare room if the show appears on both TVs.

I shouldn't imagine that would be any different, they'll ask you for a viewing card number and that's the one it would be activated on. If it does turn out to be different and you can pay a little extra to have it on all boxes, by booking on the telephone, please let me know.

You could let the family watch Strictly, and sky+ the late night itv2 repeat of The X Factor, surely they could wait until sunday to watch that.

Obviously then you'd sky+ the boxing from live, and start watching it when Strictly finishes-which is 8.10pm next week. Whizz through the ad breaks and you'll have caught up live by the time the olympians have finished.

Admittedly it needs a bit of sacrifice in the family having to watch The X Factor sometime on sunday, but they can still watch Strictly live, and you can watch the Boxing.

    Best of luck anyway.

X factor has now been taken off the series link and will be recorded later on ITV2. The only risk to my cunning plan is that the Mrs will be out until after 7.00pm and has Sky+'d strictly.

Because I have won the X factor argument she has got first call on the Sky box and therefore my fight night will be starting about an hour late. But with the number of adverts I will whizz through I will catch up in no time.

I done it over the phone for Khan Vs ***an (ODL Vs Pac) and had to bring the card down stairs for the fight. They asked for the viewing card number every time i order. If they don't ask for that i think you will have it on both.
