I seen that Sky have done a deal with HBO to show the HBO shows on the Sky 1 platform or Sky stations. So if Sky are able to show the top HBO shows will they now be able to show the top HBO live fights on Sky Sports in the coming years? If so this could well be a great deal for the boxing fans over here in the UK AND Ireland. For Sky it makes sense with the move to Saturday night boxing they could well end up showing double headers from the UK and the US if they have done the deal for all contents of HBO shows and sports.

already a thread on this. as discussed there HBO do not own the international rights the fights, the promoter does. Sky will buy the rights to the cards from Goldenboy, Top Rank etc. NOT HBO.

The deal between Sky and HBO covers origional programmeing made by HBO such as Sopranos, The Wire.
