I've seen an advert for Friday night, it's got loads of footage and commentary from recent world title fights like Hatton and other things. Then says that the boxing season is back and advertises Friday.

Still heard nothing on Froch though - anyone else?

Sky need a rival who is going to come in like Setanta did and take fights from them. I think with Sky its the Warren factor. Warren wants to be the big bollocks from Sky and Sky seem happy to have it that way. I think Sky are too loyal to Warrens fighters.

Look what happened when Setanta had a deal with Warren he walked out on them because of the other promotions Setanta had on the go. They had Saureland (sp) Hayemaker and got the Top Rank deal along with whatever other American fights they could get and Warren wasn't happy and ****ed off back to Sky.

I would of loved to have seen Sky take over the German deal Captain Hucks fight last weekend would of been great to see along with there stable of fighters it would have been a good deal for Sky.

ESPN have released a Q&A in which re boxing they say they are interested in adding new content, are in negotiations and will make an announcement once deals are signed.

    Very vague, but still positive.

Exactly, 6 weeks and no news.

Boxing in Britain is at an all time low.

Makes no odds if they aren't on tv.

Why would they screen a potential talent when they won't screen the most exciting competition in years?
