    Ali.

Mayweather is a dumb idiot. Don't even bring him up when comparing intellect. Mayweather is a gifted 'once in a 100 years boxer' like Ali, but not in the brains department. Not by a longshot.

Ali was both street smart, political smart and financially smart. All that without a classic education. That deserves big respect.

:deal The clues in the name.

Got a degree in mathematics around the same time he was winning the british and European titles.

I think Matthew Macklin also used to study Law but dropped out to focus on boxing full time.

I dunno - the glasses help (see Curb Your Enthusiasm) - he's smarter than the average boxer, but whenever he talks at length, and he does that a lot, he comes across as ******ed as he goes nowhere with his exaggerated and feeble pontifications. Reminds me of Chris Eubank.

One of the most honest, in my opinion, is Mike Tyson. Is that a sign of intelligence?

Victor Ortiz is a tree of knowledge. Literally.
