Is this down to Liam Smith again? Big blow to boxxer. Was probably stupid handing the reigns to Ben Shalom who has no proven track record anyway but I think big corporations like Sky are probably more worried a promoter has a clean cut image and hasn't posted a tweet 10 years ago that could be perceived as transphobic than someone who's actually up to the job. Also think there might be some sabotage with other promoters going on too. Anyway expect Sky to employ a lesbian or something along those lines if things with Ben don't work out.
I'd say it's good thing, it's a rematch none of us really need to see. Eubank should retire and Smith be allowed to focus with moving forward with his career as he doesn't have many fights left in him.
Would have liked to have seen the rematch, the pair have great chemistry as rivals and I'm interested to see if Smith hurting him was a bit of a fluke or not.
I don't want to criticise Ben Shalom but they announced the rescheduled date for July 1 on Sky Sports and started selling tickets again, so it's likely he's made a huge error. Surely they would have signed the contract for the new date before announcing it and putting tickets on sale ? I'd rather see Eubank against Benn next instead to be honest. This content is protected I presume Heffron Chelli, Jonas and Whittaker stay on the card ?
