We've seen these threads before. Update. Seems like there's alot of talk along these lines these days.

Name the fighters with the careers that have been more illusion than reality - current and/or retired.

I'll list up the people who seem to get mentioned fairly often. Please list anyone I may have missed.

I say Calzaghe. He's an excellent fighter but his resume his overrated.

1 very good fighter in his prime: Kessler
    1 good fighter: Reid
3 fighters passed their prime: Eubank, Jones & Hopkins.

The other 41 fights are against meaningless opponents.

Mayweather doesn't have the greatest resume in the world but he fought very good fighters in their prime.

    Castillo x2
    Corrales
    Hatton

Hopkins...fought and beat smaller men for a record 21 defences then moved up after twice losing to a big MW in Taylor, beat a handpicked LHW coming back down from HW after filming for Rocky in Tarver, lost to Calzaghe and whined pathetically forever about a white boy beating him, then beat yet another smaller man in Pavlik at his new weight of LHW.

Defining win = Trinidad, a career welter

Memorable moments of MW reign: a draw and winning a rematch vs the mighty Segundo Mercado for the vacant IBF MW title, a thrilling trilogy vs the vastly under-rated Robert Allen, Morrade Hakkar

You should change the title of the poll to who do you hate the most because that is how people will vote.

What is intereating about some BHOP fans on ESB is that they say Hatton could never be P4P No 1 because he has not beat any elite guys in the divisions abovr him, but claim BHOP ws P4P no 1 after he beat Oscar and Trinidad.

    Roy Jones Jr.

His career was all smoke and mirrors by his handpicking fights.
